A New Monthly Series — Silent Films Scored Live Every First Sunday by Al Church and Friends
Whether he backing on guitar, drums, or keyboards for local stalwarts such as Gaelynn Lea or Actual Wolf, or fronting his own popular 80’s infused solo act — Al Church has become a Swiss Army Knife of the local music scene. And now he’s bringing his talents to The Parkway for the new monthly series, Al Church’s Cinematic Orchestra Presents. Al’s signature sound will be accompanied by special guests, and your favorite visual gems, projected on the big screen. Halloween comes early this April with the 1922 influential horror classic, Nosferatu.
In Nosferatu, the mysterious Count Orlok (Max Schreck) summons Thomas Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains. The eerie Orlok seeks to buy a house near Hutter and his wife, Ellen (Greta Schroeder). After Orlok reveals his vampire nature, Hutter struggles to escape the castle, knowing that Ellen is in grave danger.
