Celebrating the sophomore solo release, "For You Again," from acclaimed singer-songwriter and Farewell Milwaukee frontman, Ben Lubeck.
Upon releasing his first solo album, Rented Rooms, singer-songwriter Ben Lubeck received praise for the quiet power, emotion and substance behind the 2016 release. Written as an act of reconciliation towards his father while contemplating his own newfound status as a dad, the album "carried years of heartache in the notes...with primal howls and words that cut deep" (City Pages).
Now a father of two, Ben's life has shifted focus, but the introspective messages in his music are as strong as ever. On For You Again, Ben's desire to overcome the fears that prevent him from being fully present comes across in every melancholy whisper and every heart-wrenching cry. Writing from the lens of a father, the result is an honest, raw, and beautiful collection of songs.
Ben is a founding member of the Minneapolis band Farewell Milwaukee, who have received national acclaim, song placements on major network television, shared the stage with bands such as The Lumineers, and had their songs featured on compilations alongside bands like Mumford & Sons, Adele, and Amos Lee. Farewell Milwaukee has released four albums over the past decade, working with longtime producer and collaborator Brad Bivens, who was re-enlisted to record For You Again. Recorded in just a few short days as Brad anticipated the birth of this first child, and Ben awaited the birth of his second, the imminent life change that shaped this recording process brought a sense of authenticity to the album; the listener feels the emotions — the urgency and the passion.
Ben shares, "As I grow as a person, and hopefully as a songwriter, I'm starting to realize that as hard as I try to impact the world with my songs, it's my beautiful world around me, a world made up with two beautiful daughters and a wife that supports my every move, that deeply impacts me and my songs and it's with all my heart, that I hope to return the favor."

Minneapolis based Ben Kyle is the Belfast born songwriter and architect behind the critically acclaimed eponymous album BEN KYLE featuring the award-winning songs Mercy and Don't Settle. American Songwriter named the song Mercy "Perfect" and the album prompted the Huffington Post to dub Kyle "A Sleeping Giant."
Emigrating to Minnesota from Belfast, Northern Ireland with his family as a teen, Kyle synthesized the roots music he absorbed in midwestern America with his Irish folk upbringing and went on to release 5 heralded albums as the singer-songwriter and frontman behind the Americana critical darlings Romantica. Paste Magazine named Romantica's 2007 release America "One of the Best Albums of 2007" but No Depression declared that Shadowlands (2016) was "Undeniably their best."
