Mistaking Jeffrey `The Dude' Lebowski (Jeff Bridges) for a wealthy philanthropist with the same name, a pair of thugs urinate on his precious rug. In exchange for a new rug, The Dude is tasked with acting as bagman for his elder namesake's kidnapped wife—aided and hindered by his Vietnam vet bowling partner (John Goodman). That rug really tied the room together.
