Megan (Natasha Lyonne) considers herself a typical American girl. She excels in school and cheerleading, and she has a handsome football-playing boyfriend, even though she isn't that crazy about him. So she's stunned when her parents decide she's gay and send her to True Directions, a boot camp meant to alter her sexual orientation. While there, Megan meets a rebellious and unashamed teen lesbian, Graham (Clea DuVall). Though Megan still feels confused, she starts to have feelings for Graham. This film is not as much about cheerleading as the title suggests.

Join us before the movie for a burlesque/drag performance, hosted by Queenie Von Curves!

Known as the Rubenesque Royale of Burlesque, Queenie von Curves is producer of Bare Book Club Mpls, Divas and Drag with An Opera Theater, 2 Dykes Walk into a Bar with Dick von Dyke, and Dr. Sketchy's Mpls. A lifelong Queer artist, having earned a BFA in theatre performance, performed as a company member of Ballet of the Dolls, worked as a costume designer and in theater/event management, Queenie has always strived to promote joy and community through the arts. With her unorthodox style of striptease, cheeky sensuality, and clever costuming, it's no wonder the Quintessence of Curves and Quirk has been entertaining audiences across the country, celebrating her 15th year!
