American roots musician A.J. Croce presents Croce Plays Croce, an exclusive performance featuring a complete set of classics by his late father, the legendary singer/songwriter Jim Croce.

Joined by his top-notch band, A.J. will also perform some of his own signature tunes, along with songs that influenced both him and his father.

This special night features such timeless songs as Operator, You Don’t Mess Around with Jim, Time in a Bottle, (a song written for A.J.), Rapid Roy (The Stock Car Boy), Lovers Cross, and many others. Classic covers will include songs by Lieber and Stoller, Bessie Smith, and other folk and roots artists.

"If Elton John and Leon Russell had a spiritual younger brother, it would be A.J. Croce.”

American Songwriter

A.J. Croce’s 25-year touring and recording career includes eleven studio albums released on both major and independent labels & featured prominently nationwide on Top 40, Americana, Blues, and Jazz radio. To date, he’s charted 18 Top 20 singles.

Released in February 2021, Croce’s recent album By Request is a collection of some of his favorite cover tunes: “delightful performances reflect Croce’s range and talent but more significantly how much he loves the songs and their songwriters that have influenced his style” (American Songwriter). In 2017, his critically-acclaimed release Just Like Medicine featured Vince Gill and Steve Cropper and was produced by Muscle Shoals legend Dan Penn.

A virtuoso piano player, he has shared the stage with Aretha Franklin; Dr. John; Willie Nelson; Lenny Kravitz; B.B. King; Earth, Wind & Fire; Ray Charles; Ben Harper; and many others. Croce has appeared on Austin City Limits, The Late Show, The Tonight Show, The Today Show, CNN, MTV, and VH1. In 2018, Croce released a single of I Got A Name, honoring his late father, Jim Croce, and his iconic song (and album of the same name) first made famous back in 1973.
