Minnesota's most kick-ass voices are back to belt out sexist bangers – all to raise money for abortion access. This legendary evening, now in its sixth year, brings together some of Minnesota’s most amazing performers for music and laughter – supporting the important work of Abortion Access Front (AAF), the reproductive rights organization founded by Minnesota native, comedian Lizz Winstead.
The assault on reproductive rights has not let up in 2026, and the federal government is obsessed with sperm counts and the under-babying of America. This event supports AAF’s working fighting to protect access to medication, abortion, and traveling the country supporting patients and the independent clinics struggling to stay open to service them.
The 2026 line-up includes: Aby Wolf, Christy Costello, Annie Mack, Janey Winterbauer, Katy Vernon, Leslie Vincent, Mary Bue, Mary Cutrufello, Meghan Kreidler, Molly Maher, Tricky Miki, and Special Guests. Plus, the Do Re #MeToo band The Maneaters, a supergroup featuring bandleader Jenny Case on guitar, Barb Brynstad on bass, Alyse Manuel on drums, Maureen McFarlane on keys, and Joan Hutton on sax.
This fall, we will see the courts and the FDA decide the fate of abortion pills, effectively deciding whether or not access to reproductive care lives or dies. Winstead and AAF are leading the fight to protect reproductive freedoms, and Minnesota performers are eager to support their work.
“This creative community has always been with AAF in our fight for our bodily autonomy,” Winstead says, “In fact, they know full well that access to birth control or abortion care has been a real tool for them to pursue their dreams, so their commitment to protect that access for others is an amazing and humbling thing to watch.” Winstead concluded, “Plus, destroying a shitty Nugent or Warrant song to raise money for reproductive healthcare is the cherry pie on top.”
It’s been six years since Do Re #MeToo began the tradition of righteous Minnesota feminists shredding misogynist ditties for the benefit of Abortion Access Front.
Past highlights have included Diane Miller taking on Limp Bizkit's “Nookie,” Mary Cutrufello destroying “Walk This Way,” by Aerosmith, Karen Grotberg crooning John Lennon's “Jealous Guy,” and Lizz Winstead belting out Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.”
Meghan Kreidler, one of Do Re #MeToo’s most joyful beacons, has this to say about the event: “It's an honor to return to Do Re #MeToo this year as we continue to face the escalation of attacks on bodily autonomy and basic human freedoms in our country. Abortion Access Front is doing what they’ve always done: showing up, speaking out, and fighting back.
Being able to use my voice and body to convey a message of liberation is powerful, and music is a powerful place to express radical ideas and expressions of love and joy. Female reproductive freedom does not live in a vacuum, but rather intersects with all liberation movements that seek to give humans their right to live decently, healthily, and safely.
We know that laws which seek to prohibit bodily freedoms have nothing to do with safety or well-being, but with control, a sinister pillar of our current administration.
Do Re #MeToo is one evening of music that will hopefully recharge our duty to action so that we can continue to fight the good fight for the freedoms of everyone.”
Founded in 2015 by comedian and Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead, Abortion Access Front (Abortion AF) is a nonprofit organization made up of activists, comedians, writers, and producers. They use humor to destigmatize abortion and expose the extremist forces working to destroy access to reproductive rights and abortion in all 50 states.
Abortion AF’s provocative and hilarious multimedia content educates people about the pervasive and discriminatory abortion laws that disproportionately impact people in BIPOC communities, while also working on the ground, growing support, and raising awareness for independent abortion providers- the community clinics who bear the brunt of anti-abortion legislation and harassment, and provide the majority of abortion care in the country.
