Local stars once again unite and donate their talents to play sets covering an artist or band of their choice, all to benefit the great grassroots family assistance organization, Foothold Twin Cities!
Come hear your favorite songs performed by some of your favorite Twin Cities musicians, including The de’Lindas, Doug Collins and the Receptionists, The Belfast Cowboys, The Mighty Mofos, The New Brunettes, RuDeGirl, and The Wandering Sons. Proceeds will support Foothold Twin Cities, a local charity organization that gives 100% of donations to help families in crisis.
The de’Lindas are a tribute to the delectably, delightful, de'lovely musical stylings of Linda Ronstadt, Featuring the talents of seven women and a dude: Gini Dodds, Becky Kapell, Colleen Martin Oake, Edie Rae, Mary Stone, Ellen Rice, Brenda Shepherd, and Rob Genadek.
Called "one of the most brilliant songwriters to emerge from the Twin Cities in nearly two decades" by southernminn.com, Doug Collins and his crack band, the Receptionists' hooky mix of Beatle-esque pop and classic country is highlighted in their energetic shows and honest, emotional songs. Doug had three songs voted finalist for “Best Song of the Year” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, along with his 2016 CD Complicated Compliments, which was also voted one of the "Best of the Year." Doug’s follow up, Good Sad News, was voted the third best American release in Spain in 2018 by Ruta66 Magazine. The newest CD, Lonely Memories, was released in June 2025 to further critical acclaim.
The Belfast Cowboys are a nine-piece, horn-driven band from Minneapolis that specializes in the music of Van Morrison along with their own originals, mixing rock, blues, roots and soul sounds. Led by veteran songwriter and guitarist Terry Walsh and powered by a four-piece horn section, the Cowboys have flourished in the renowned Minnesota music scene, consistently packing houses and wowing crowds since 2002.
When the punk rock scene was in full force in Minneapolis, The Mighty Mofos came along & kicked in the door. Hard rocking and satisfying, as all players are excellent musicians, and stars in their own right. Legendary on the Twin Cities music scene since 1984.
Orphaned on the grimy streets of Kingston upon Hull, Balthazar took to the lute like a duck to tax evasion, while his sister Araminta crawled through crowds nicking wallets, watches, and on one occasion, a prosthetic leg. Naming themselves The New Brunettes after stealing a car with a Billy Bragg cassette jammed in the stereo, they set off for fame, larceny, and complimentary snacks. Discovering that fraud is practically a hobby in America, they stowed away on a steamer disguised as emotional support ferrets — and now, for the first time in Minnesota, please welcome the delightfully illegal duo: Araminta and Balthazar — The New Brunettes!
RuDeGirl (Female tribute to The Clash) - right-o!
In 2024, friends Brian Just, Clay Williams, and Kent Militzer wanted to revisit the cosmic country and harmony vocals they had enjoyed playing in their former band, The Blackberry Brandy Boys (2011-2015). The band solidified their lineup with the additions of frequent BBB guest Dave Boquist, Clay's Dieselfitter bandmate Dan Peterson, and drummer Url Hopper, The Wandering Suns was born! The Wandering Suns deliver a unique blend of original compositions and cover songs that pay homage to the rich tapestry of Americana music.
