Traditionally, December is dominated by Christmas music...NOT ANYMORE! This very special performance showcases a variety of funky and soulful Hanukkah songs, including modern takes on Hanukkah classics, and all-new Hanukkah music written exclusively for the show.
Growing up Black and Jewish, Adam Bohanan wanted to represent his dual heritage in a fun holiday show. Inspired by his favorite Hanukkah song of all time, "8 Days Of Hanukkah" by Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Adam set out to combine soul, funk, and R&B with the rich history of Judaism and his childhood memories. A guaranteed fun and joyful celebration for both Jews and Gentiles!
Presented by singer Bohanan along with other Twin Cities’ music-makers including Shane Cox, Ethan Elseth, Ethan Ostrow, Dan Carpel, Pete James Johnson, Aaron Levin, and Kata Fried.
Adam Bohanan’s music draws from soul, jazz, funk, and R&B. Think Stevie Wonder meets D’Angelo. He plays shows around the Twin Cities and tours nationwide. A life-long nerd, Adam also loves to incorporate playful wordplay and nerdy references into his songwriting. A semifinalist on Season 26 of The Voice on Team Reba, he was known for his “dirty soul” style and fun-loving attitude.
