James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) faces a deadly new threat when Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean), a former MI6 agent presumed dead, resurfaces as a rogue mastermind with control of a powerful satellite weapon capable of crippling the global economy. As Bond races across continents to stop him, he must also contend with Trevelyan’s dangerous accomplice, Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen), whose lethal methods are more deadly and unpredictable than Sean Bean’s chances of making it to the end credits.
The Swongos bring the spy-vs-spy vibes to the Parkway stage with an opening music set! The three-piece instrumental Surf band hails from the St. Croix River Valley on the Minnesota/Wisconsin border. Their music goes from soft, sweet, and dreamy to wacky, wild, and psychedelic. In addition to Surf music, they have many styles of music such as Spy, Exotica, and Psychedelic Rock sprinkled in their sound. The Swongos are influenced by traditional surf music like Dick Dale and the Ventures but also groups such as the Pixies, Frank Zappa, and Los Cubanos Postizos.
