A gadget salesman is looking for a special gift for his son and finds one at a store in Chinatown. The shopkeeper is reluctant to sell him the `mogwai' but sells it to him with the warning to never expose him to bright light, water, or to feed him after midnight. All of this happens and the result is a gang of gremlins that proceed to tear up the town on Christmas Eve.

Joe Dante's cult hit remains one of the most beloved, and offbeat, Christmas horror/dark comedy films ever made.

There is an instantly recognizable cast on display as Zach Galligan and Phoebe Cates really carry the movie quite nicely. But also some very memorable appearances by Hoyt Axton and Dick Miller. Furthermore, it was also fun to watch a young Corey Feldman make a small appearance here.
