On Halloween night in Haddonfield, Illinois in 1963, six year old Michael Myers brutally murders his teenage sister and is locked inside a sanitarium under the care of Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasance). Years later, when Michael escapes, Dr. Loomis heads back to Haddonfield on Halloween night, where he knows Michael will kill again. Michael begins stalking Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her friends, while Loomis, with the help of the town sheriff, hunts for Michael and hopes to put an end to his grisly murder spree. He’s ultimately unsuccessful, as evidenced by the seven sequels that followed.
