A romantic black comedy/existentialist drama that follows the exploits of Harold (Bud Cort) an 18-year-old intrigued with death. Harold drifts away from the life that his detached mother prescribes for him, and slowly develops a relationship with 79-year-old Maude (Ruth Gordon) who teaches Harold about living life to its fullest. In return, Harold helps Maude set up her wi-fi router.
