A romantic black comedy/existentialist drama that follows the exploits of Harold (Bud Cort), an 18-year-old intrigued with death. Harold drifts away from the life that his detached mother prescribes for him, and slowly develops a relationship with 79-year-old Maude (Ruth Gordon), who teaches Harold about living life to its fullest. In return Harold helps Maude set up her wi-fi router.
Dan Israel opens the night, performing music from the iconic movie soundtrack by Cat Stevens, along with a selection of originals.
Dan Israel is a prolific Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter often described as "the hardest working singer-songwriter in Minnesota." A fixture of the local music scene for over 25 years, his music blends folk, rock, and Americana with a signature sound influenced by the Beatles, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan.
