Based on Durham, North Carolina, renowned folk artist Jake Xerxes Fussell comes to Minneapolis in support of his phenomenal fourth album, Good and Green Again, which finds the acclaimed folksong interpreter, guitarist and singer navigating fresh sonic and compositional landscapes on what's being called the most conceptually focused, breathtakingly rendered, and enigmatically poignant records of his wondrous collection.

Released to critical acclaim in January 2022, the album was produced by James Elkington and features formidable musicians, including Casey Toll on upright bass, Libby Rodenbough on strings, Joe Westerlund on drums, Joseph Decosimo on fiddle, and others. Bonnie “Prince” Billy contributed additional vocals.

"…maybe the leading interpreter of American folk music right now..." — Ann Powers, NPR

“…Fussell is the rare contemporary to approach folk in its pure form, shunning self-penned compositions about bummer relationships to concentrate on material handed down from bygone, hardened times.” – The New Yorker

“(Fussell) is one of the great magpies of American song, collecting forgotten, tarnished gems with a folklorist’s zeal… his renditions aren’t so much cover versions as composites…” – The Guardian

Rosali makes songs that take their time in revealing their full power. What might appear to be restrained, introspectivecompositions will stretch slowly outward, snagging your attention with a sideways guitar lead or an exceptionally raw lyric you didn’t catch the first time around. Her softly glowing music is deceptively fluid, able to appear patient and refined at the edge of unraveling.

The solo venture of North Carolina–based songwriter Rosali Middleman, she will release her Merge debut, the follow-up to 2021's No Medium, in early 2024.
