A brilliant blend of bluegrass, swing, Americana and folk — presented by some of the best musicians in the Midwest!
Jon Garon (Comfort Station) and the Prairie Ferrets (featuring Liz Ashworth, Tom Schaefer, Mark Kreitzer and Larry Dalton) along with master flat-picker and finger-style guitarist Dakota Dave Hull

A gifted composer as well as a strikingly original interpreter of older tunes, Dakota Dave Hull calls what he does "classic American guitar." Dave is a restlessly curious, adventurous traveler along the broad highway of America's music. In his playing the masters speak, but in a vocabulary that is Dave's alone: alternatively mirthful and moving, always melodic. On stage or in the recording studio Dave has performed with Utah Philips, Doc Watson, Robin and Linda Williams, Dave Van Ronk, Spider Joh Koerner, Butch Thompson, Peter Ostroushko, Garrison Keillor and many others.

Formerly with the popular group Comfort Station, Jon Garon is a finger-picking specialist who has shared the stage with Vassar Clements, Jack Lawrence, Richard Smith, Clay Hess, John Denver's band and many others. For many years Jon was the owner of the very successful Martin Guitar dealership, My Favorite Guitars. He is now retired and plays for fun promoting live music shows in the Twin Cities and Florida with his many talented friends.

One the most versatile and talented players anywhere, Liz Ashworth plays piano, violin, guitar and mandolin among others.  She is among the most gifted musicians in the country, and shines on everything she touches.

Tom Schaefer is largely considered to be the premier fiddler in the Midwest. A retired anesthesiologist, Tom plays in many bands including the Prairie Ferrets, Honky Tonk Jump, The Tony Rook Band and Cousin Dad. He was South Dakota Fiddle Champion at a young age and has delighted audiences around the country , playing everything from Gypsy Jazz to Bluegrass.

Mark Kreitzer plays every stringed instrument (and piano) and is an expert in all styles – from Gypsy Jazz to Bluegrass.  He is also a prolific songwriter. He currently teaches stringed instruments at Carleton College in Northfield as well as gigging regularly.

Larry Dalton is an accomplished bassist from LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He spent many years playing in the LaCrosse Symphony Orchestra and the popular group “StringTies.” He is also a regular feature at Larryfest in LaFarge, Wisconsin, where he plays with numerous bands, including Jon Garon and friends.
