Stick around after this knock-out musical set for a screening of Kill Bill: Vol. 1.
The 5.6.7.8's is a trio from Tokyo, Japan, whose music is reminiscent of American surf music, rockabilly, and garage rock. Since 1991 their music has been released by Time Bomb Recordings and by Jack White’s label Third Man Records among others. The group became quite popular after their appearance in Quentin Taratino's Kill Bill Vol. 1, in which they performed "I Walk Like Jayne Mansfield", "I'm Blue" (a cover of The Ikettes' song) and “Woo Hoo" in a Tokyo club. Their original song "The Barracuda" is also featured in The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift soundtrack.
Released in 2003 and written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, Kill Bill: Vol. 1 stars Uma Thurman as the Bride, who swears revenge on a team of assassins (Lucy Liu, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, and Vivica A. Fox) and their leader, Bill (David Carradine), after they try to kill her.
