Internationally-acclaimed indie singer/songwriter Lissie returns to The Parkway for a month-long residency, performing EVERY Saturday night!
Lissie has curated four very special nights, each and every one not-to-be-missed!
Night 3 opens with a set by local indie band, minigolf!

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be doing a weekly residency, Saturday’s in January at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis! The Parkway has been so wonderful to me over the years and were true friends, especially during Covid, as we did several livestreams from their stage. The opportunity to keep the music alive was a balm for the soul and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with them once again!

I’ll have 4 evenings to create a moving, beautiful night of music, each a little different, as the month progresses. The audience in the Twin Cities has really shown up for me for a decade plus! Thank you! So, I’m really looking forward to re-learning old, seldom played songs solo, duo, band AND I’ll be welcoming many special guests to the stage as well! I hope you’ll join me! More details to come!

In the spring of 2021, drummer Colby Hansen (she/her) invited Mariah Mercedes (they/them-guitar + vocals) and Megan Mahoney (they/them-bass) over to her backyard. The three of them sat under the cover of the legendary “gayzebo” (a gazebo with gay people in it) and began to dream up the beginnings of a new band. Driven by the mutual desire to shred and make people dance, the three musicians took up their instruments and started to play. This routine repeated every Monday until they got closer and closer to achieving their sound. However, no matter how hard they tried, something was missing. Colby, Mariah, and Meg set out to recruit a fourth member. Someone who would not only elevate the sound but bring it to unimaginable heights. Katherine Soairse (she/her-guitar) joined the ranks, completing what we now know as the band minigolf

Named after the recreational sport, minigolf is here to cure your blues. Their sound is replete with rhythm heavy power pop and melody’s you’ll want to sing all day and all night. These songs will make you laugh, cry, or reminisce about that dream car. Whatever you’re feeling, minigolf can accommodate — with a song and a dance floor.
