The OK Factor and Sprig of That celebrate their respective album releases, OKX and Bloom.
Celebrating 10 years of writing and performing original music, OKX is a compilation of some of The OK Factor’s first compositions and their newest material to-date. Their performance will include appearances by The Orange Mighty Trio and Anthony Ihrig of The High 48s.
Sprig of That, joined by cellist Mikey Marget, celebrates their full-length debut album of original compositions, Bloom, a reflection of the group’s growth over the last five years.

Playful and unexpected, crossover duo The OK Factor (Olivia Diercks, cello + Karla Colahan, violin) writes and performs folk-inspired music influenced by multiple genres, with an artistry that reveals their classical training. Organic and genuine, their original compositions feel both comfortingly familiar and uniquely fresh, and have been described as "genre-bending" (Julie Amacher, MPR) and "pure magic" (Wausau Pilot & Review). The ease with which they write and perform and their passion for educational outreach has brought them success on stages such as The Cedar Cultural Center and as frequent featured artists with Minnesota Public Radio, as well as awards such as McKnight Fellowships for Musicians finalists in 2018, and Artist Fellowship recipients for Scandinavian Folk Arts and Cultural Traditions through the American Scandinavian Foundation in 2020.

Olivia and Karla are pleased to release OKX (March 2023), their newest, full-length album, celebrating 10 years of writing and performing their original music.

Sprig of That is a tabla, fiddle, and guitar trio drawing inspiration from the work of cross-genre pioneers like Zakir Hussain, Chris Thile, and Béla Fleck to play music that is both steeped in tradition(s) and thoroughly modern. In early 2023, they’ll be releasing “Bloom,” their full-length, all-original debut album, produced by Wes Corbett (Sam Bush Band, Joy Kill Sorrow) and engineered/mixed by Dave Sinko (Punch Brothers, Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer) recorded at Nashville’s legendary Sound Emporium studios over the course of a week in December 2021.

Formed in Minneapolis, MN in 2018, the group has spent the last five years making a name for themselves across the country: playing historic venues like Minneapolis’ Cedar Cultural Center and NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall, sharing the stage with artists like Charlie Parr and Emilia Amper, and collaborating with organizations like Carnegie Hall and Minnesota Public Radio to give workshops at schools across the country. In 2021, they released “Eight Threads,” a cross-genre collaboration comprising 8 compositions written for the trio by eight very different Twin Cities-based music makers.
