A special evening of celebration and performance with proceeds to support Radio Five Watt, the only streaming service in Minnesota that broadcasts homegrown Minnesota music — created by Five Watt Coffee's Caleb Garn and musician Tucker Sterling Jensen.
On March 11, 2019, Tucker Sterling Jensen passed away at age 29 following a three-year battle with cancer. A very talented and respected singer/songwriter who performed with his band DIRT TRAIN, Tucker also co-founded Radio Five Watt with Five Watt Coffee founder, Caleb Garn.
In honor of Radio Five Watt and the one-year anniversary of his son's passing, Tucker's father Mick Sterling, another Minnesota music legend, will perform songs from his own two latest CD compilations backed by DIRT TRAIN, along with DIRT TRAIN originals penned by Tucker Sterling Jensen.
This very special evening will also feature performances by:
Maybe Nebraska

along with other special guests.
Radio Five Watt is a locally focused music, arts and culture internet radio station, streaming 24 hours a day from their radio desk in Northeast Minneapolis' Five Watt Coffee Shop.
Their goal is to be a catalyst of community and connectivity in a city rich with talent. From broadcasting the best and the newest of local music, to podcasting bits from the Minnesota arts and culture community. Radio Five Watt is the place where it all comes together to form one resonant voice, connecting everyone who listens and contributes.
Tucker Sterling Jensen was a singer/songwriter and bass player/guitarist from Minneapolis. H performed and recorded with the heavy stoner rock band Brüder, the southwest blues group the Ken Valdez Band, the pop rock powerhouse Jackson Hide, and as frontman and guitarist for the greasy Americana group Dirt Train. As a solo artist, his music varies widely from country walzes to soul-tinged blues, to ruckus rock 'n' roll stomps. Jensen showcased a keen mind for original lyrics, playfully deviant interpretations of old standards, all with his smokey, soulful signature howl.
2019 marked 39 years in the music business for Mick Sterling. One of the most recognized names in the Twin Cities music scene, for 17 years he fronted Mick Sterling and the Stud Brothers, a band recently inducted into the Midwest Music Hall of Fame and revered alongside other legendary Twin Cities soul and R&B outfits like Doug Maynard, Willie and the Bees, Lamont Cranston and others. When Mick is not on stage performing, he manages The 30 Days Foundation, a non-profit he founded to assist those in financial crisis.
"He hits notes that matter, and always leaves something of himself in a song."
