The sell-out performance experience returns to The Parkway!

Celebrating the 52nd anniversary of this iconic album (originally released 9/26/69), the acclaimed Minneapolis collective The Shabby Road Orchestra presents a live performance of the Beatles' Abbey Road. The album will be played in its entirety from start to finish along, followed by a second set of deep cuts and standouts from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, The White Album, and Let It Be.

The Shabby Road Orchestra is a restless constellation of Twin Cities club and studio musicians dedicated to recreating the post-1967 Beatles canon live, note-for-note as heard on the original EMI recordings.

Shabby performances offer no wigs, impersonations or costumes, just the band’s iconic, rarely-performed recordings and the occasional goof, garbled observation and outburst of good will.

For this Parkway-specific performance, a pandemic-delayed 2nd Annual 50th Anniversary of Abbey Road, with selections from Sgt. Pepper, The White Album, and Let it Be, they will be joined by a surplus of brass, woodwinds, and strings.

This event’s 17-piece roster includes percussionist-vocalist Ken Chastain; guitarist-vocalists Joe CareyBrandon Sampson, John Eller, and Adam Levy; bassist John Fields; brass and woodwind players Dave FoleyAndy NelsonJohn Sievers, and Ben Bussey; keyboardists Tom and Paul Scott; harpist Phala Tracy; and on strings, Jacqueline Ultan and members of the Laurels String Quartet.
