Neil Young’s 1972 Harvest and 1992 Harvest Moon albums sung by women. Sure to blow your mind…and any nearby clouds away! Only at The Parkway on the full Harvest Moon!

Celebrate the Harvest season at the 4th Annual Harvest at The Parkway, presented by SimpleGifts featuring Billy McLaughlin. On the night of this year’s Harvest Moon, the beloved songs of Neil Young shimmer anew under the spell of siren-voices Carin Vagle, Karen Paurus, and Amy Courts. Ladies singing Neil Young? Yes — and loving it! A Celtic twist is added by renowned wind-powered artist Laura MacKenzie, along with acoustic guitar by Billy McLaughlin and Dan Ristrom (bass), Patrick Nelson (drums), Billy O (percussion), Lisa Z (piano), and Nathan Wilson (fiddle/mandolin).

Billy & co. note, “If you couldn’t make it last year, you missed out on the 300 MoonPie treats we gave away as folks left the theater under the full Harvest Moon! We bought 400 MoonPies for this year!”

Billy McLaughlin has been changing people’s idea of what an acoustic guitar can sound like since the 1980s. He is recognized as an innovative performer and composer who embraces the advantages of acoustic guitar amplification, unorthodox techniques, and altered tunings while celebrating a gift for melody. His enormous yet fluid acoustic guitar tone has carried him around the world, to Billboard’s Top 10 Chart and most recently through a devastating medical disorder called focal dystonia. McLaughlin has had to re-learn the guitar left-handed and is in the early stages of what might be described as ‘one of the great musical-comeback stories of all time.” His story is the subject of an award-winning documentary film, Changing Keys – Billy McLaughlin and the Mysteries of Dystonia.

“...you may swear Billy McLaughlin is two of the greatest acoustic guitarists you’ve ever heard.” — Pittsburgh Post Gazette

“... it’s amazing that such an extensive sound comes from one instrument.” — Chicago Sun Times
