An incredible night of psychedelic and shoegaze, showcasing three of the Twin Cities’ best new bands — Magic Castles, Chatham Rise, and Lana Leone — with proceeds to support Immigrant Defense Network and Community Aid Network MN.

Magic Castles are a psychedelic rock band from Minneapolis, formed in the early 2000s by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Jason Edmonds. Their music is characterized by lush, layered arrangements and warm vocal harmonies, with a style that draws from folk-rock influences of the late 60s, while also incorporating elements of shoegaze and modern indie rock.

After touring Europe in 2023, Jason has been steadily finishing Magic Castles' fifth full length LP, Realized. Nine new songs recorded with his current lineup (consisting of Adam Patterson on drums. Izaak Drew on guitar, Kristof Marden on bass) recorded by Nick Tveitbakk at the legendary Pachyderm Studios in Minnesota, with additional recording by Edmonds at his studio the Map Room and in Neil Weir’s remote chapel-converted-to-studio, Blue Bell Knoll. Lovingly mixed by Edmonds and Neil Weir at Blue Bell Knoll. Realized is scheduled for release in April 2026 on Fuzz Club Records.

Chatham Rise is a psychedelic/shoegaze/space rock band from Minneapolis, that has recently wrapped up their third full-length LP, Trillium, released fall 2025 with Infinite Spin Records featuring guest vocals from Paula Kelley of legendary Boston shoegaze band, Drop Nineteens, guest guitar from Mark Refoy (Spacemen 3, Spiritualized, Slipstream) on "Riddle Remix," and guitar from good friend Josh Richardson of Flavor Crystals on "Here She Comes."

Chatham Rise have been lucky enough throughout their career to have shared the stage with bands such as My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus & Mary Chain, LUNA, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spectrum, LOOP, Rain Parade, Black Mountain, Temples, The Chills, The Horrors, and more. The band members are all huge music fans, so being able to play live along with their favorite bands is the ultimate experience and compliment.

Lana Leone combines swelling guitars and ethereal vocals to create shoegaze soundscapes reminiscent of dark starry nights. Composed of vocalist and guitarist Alana Christen, guitarist Josh Frenier, bassist Brandon Burmeister, and drummer Brandon Tang, Minneapolis based 4-piece, Lana Leone, pairs soft, airy vocals against the band’s distorted wall of sound, creating a dense sound emulating light seeping into darkness. Melding influences like Knifeplay, Mazzy Star, My Bloody Valentine, and the Cocteau Twins, Lana Leone released their sophomore EP, Spirea, in 2025.
