A 9-year old boy, Hogarth, forms an unlikely friend with a giant alien robot (Vin Diesel) who crash-lands near the small town of Rockwell, Maine, in 1957. But when a paranoid government agent becomes determined to destroy the robot, Hogarth and beatnik Dean McCoppin (Harry Connick Jr.) must do what they can to save the misunderstood machine — and figure out how to monetize it’s ability to write term papers for lazy high school students.
