What You Can’t Keep is a tender, poetic, and humorous exploration of modern love, told in three lyrical acts. Written by Harrison David Rivers and directed by Tyler Michaels King, this “meet-cute-meets-art-house” film follows Lizzie and Lucas—two young artists whose relationship blooms fast and burns bright, then slowly complicates under the weight of time, memory, and self-discovery. Shot over five years, this deeply personal trio of short films reflects the evolution of both its characters and the artists behind them.

Braddon Alexander has directed over 9 short films and been cinematographer on over 3. He believes in the power of cinema to bring people together, to share dreams and to build empathy and connection through the power of visual storytelling. He is over-the-moon to share this intimate story of two people in love — with all the messiness that comes with it — and for this exciting close to a beautiful story. Trademark never misses the mark. A lovely collaboration spanning over 5 years with I’m sure more exciting stories to come.
