Doomtree Records and The Parkway Theater present the fourth edition of a live quarterly recording of the popular Tuesdays with Lazerbeak podcast, featuring interviews with musicians and mental health experts, along with unique and intimate performances.

Recorded live for later radio broadcast, Tuesdays with Lazerbeak showcases an in-depth conversation with and performances by high-profile musical artists. Doomtree's Lazerbeak and co-host Jeyca Maldonado take audiences on a deep dive into all things related to mindfulness, talking with a different mental health "expert" each episode, and interacting with the crowd with fun group activities designed to shed light on how we can all better our minds. This event is family friendly and open to all ages.

Joining Beak and Jeyca is musician Dave Simonett of Trampled By Turtles and Dead Man Winter, who will perform new tracks from his highly anticipated forthcoming solo album, Red Tail, due March 13, 2020, on Thirty Tigers Records — as well as emcee and hip hop artist Longshot, who will premiere his new music video and lead a discussion on police brutality, the subject of the new song and video.

Dave Simonett

Dave Simonett has spent almost two decades as the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for the widely popular and beloved roots band, Trampled By Turtles. He also fronts Dead Man Winter, a full-bodied, emotionally resonant brand of Americana-infused rock band. With the release of Red Tail, he now boldly steps forward with a shining collection of new solo material for the first time under his own name.

To record Red Tail, Simonett went into the studio unsure if the collection of songs he brought would become an album or simply some demos. This carefree approach led to "an album that is pure and genuine, while exuding a feeling of fulfillment and happiness." His conversational and poetic writing style is inspired by the spacious and stark Northern woods of Minnesota, where he's from. Drawing from the outdoors, Simonett uses light, weather and imagery to paint introspective, cinematic scenes that are easy to get lost in, encouraging introspection and personal interpretation in his listeners.
