Minnesota hitmakers Whalen and the Willows celebrate the release of their sophomore album, Redemption.
With a focus on lyrics, frontman Joshua Whalen writes tales pulled from life experience and observation. Together, the band brings these stories to life, adding melody, rhythm, and harmony to conjure an experience that is not just heard but felt.
Opening the night will be a set by Lost in Austin.
From dark and brooding to comforting and hopeful, Whalen and the Willows create a theatrical landscape that will take you away. Their first full length record Peaceful was released in January 2020 and was met with critical acclaim including airplay on The Current, KFAI, and WCCO.
The band now celebrates the release of its sophomore effort, Redemption. With a focus on lyrics frontman Joshua Whalen writes tales pulled from life experience and observation. Pain, suffering, hope, and love are common motives looking to strike an authentic balance of the struggles and joys of life. The band uses melody, rhythm, and harmony to conjure an experience that is truly greater than the sum of its parts. Whalen and the Willows are a master class on soul and authenticity.
