Womenfolk Radio host Ellen Stanley (she/her) began her radio journey while a student at Oberlin College, where she hosted a women’s music program for four years on WOBC. Since 2002, she has been hosting the long-running Womenfolk radio show on KFAI in Minneapolis, MN. Now carried on other stations across the country, Womenfolk features a wide variety of folk/acoustic music from women and non-binary artists, including Americana, blues, bluegrass, traditional country, singer/songwriter and roots music from around the globe. As a banjo player, publicist and music writer, Ellen brings an insider’s perspective to the music with exclusive interviews, live guests and tasty bits of fun folk trivia. She has been a guest host and contributor on SiriusXM, The Current, Folk Alley, KBEM-Jazz88 and Minnesota Public Radio. She also co-hosts the weekly Back Catalog Listening Party, revisiting old albums with guest artists who talk about the writing and recording of the songs and answer fan questions live on YouTube.

Molly Maher resides on the border between the lands of Americana and the Blues and moves beautifully between them, blending simmering guitars and cutting lyrics. She has traveled the roads of roots music traditions and returned to sing about it with an authentic and sage voice. With songs that ring true, her singing is a fine balance of deep and soulful, somewhere between Lucinda Williams and Bonnie Raitt. Her music is twangy and lament-filled spirit, guitar driven country-folk-jam with a blues swagger. Of her latest album Follow, Louie Perez of Los Lobos says, "Molly Maher has done it. She combines simplicity and heartfelt melody and creates something that is equally haunting and hypnotic. I can't stop listening."
