Starman Waiting in the Sky: A Live Milestone Celebration of David Bowie’s 80th Birthday!
Prepare to launch into an interstellar musical journey as Minneapolis’ premier David Bowie tribute band, Cracked Actor, takes the stage at The Parkway Theater. This is not just any performance; it is a monumental celebration marking exactly what would have been the Thin White Duke’s 80th birthday.
Born on January 8, 1947 in London, England, David Bowie permanently altered the landscape of music, fashion, and pop culture. On this golden anniversary, Cracked Actor pays homage to that enduring legacy with a high-energy, deeply authentic live concert experience.
From the cosmic glam of Ziggy Stardust and the soulful swagger of Young Americans to the stadium-sized synth-pop of Let’s Dance, Cracked Actor captures the full, chameleonic evolution of Bowie's legendary career.
Gather with fellow Rebel Rebels, put on your red shoes, and celebrate the immortal art of a starman who never truly left us.
Fronted by Brian M. Naughton — who channels Bowie's enigmatic vocals, theatrical presence, and iconic style — the five-piece powerhouse delivers a masterclass in the Bowie songbook. Backed by Vince Ramone (lead guitar), Zack Scott (keyboards/rhythm guitar), Tom Dery (bass), and Edward Hiykel (drums), the band meticulously recreates the sonic textures and emotional depth of rock's greatest chameleon.
Cracked Actor will be joined by additional Twin Cities’ musicians, helping to deliver an epic unforgettable evening of David Bowie’s gift of music to fans of every age.
