A special one-night-only Minneapolis preview performance of The Pines' David Huckfelt debut solo record Stranger Angels, slated for release in February, 2019.  Featuring the band of Minneapolis luminaries from the record and special guests, this exclusive Parkway Theater sneak-peak will feature a live performance of the new record in it’s entirety.  Written during Huckfelt's artist residency at Isle Royale National Park on Lake Superior, this event marks the debut of the strange and beautiful world of Stranger Angels, a deep and powerful new artistic expression on the horizon of its release.

Created in fourteen days of solitude and recorded with a fiery ensemble of musical friends on a farm in western Wisconsin, "Stranger Angels" features guest appearances by Amelia Meath (Sylvan Esso), Dave Simonett (Trampled By Turtles, Dead Man Winter),  J.T. Bates (co-producer, Hiss Golden Messenger, Big Red Machine), Jeremy Ylvisaker (Andrew Bird, The Suburbs), Erik Koskinen, Michael Rossetto, Andrew Broder, Frankie Lee, Darin Gray (Jeff Tweedy, William Tyler), Phil Cook & more. This new record is a full-throated musical confluence of poetry, activism, and conservation, and a stirring soundtrack to the thin places where the world seen and unseen collide.

Under Violet is led by Sara Bischoff (Web of Sunsets/Heavy Deeds), joined by members of Invisible Boy. Inspired by a mix of Mazzy Star and vintage country, the music is dreamy and spacious, creating a folk-rock glow for projecting minimal and dark portraits.
